Singer Kim Jong Kook is at the center of controversy after publicly commenting on the amount of the wedding gift given by broadcaster Jonathan at Jo Se Ho 's wedding.

On a recent episode of the SBS variety show Running Man , Kim Jong Kook, in conversation with Yoo Jae Suk , mentioned Jonathan, saying, " Jonathan barely gave anything for the wedding gift at Jo Se Ho's wedding and he was gorging himself on food ."

The remark, although made in a joking tone, drew criticism from viewers.

Some netizens found the comment insensitive to the financial burdens young people face when giving money at a wedding, especially during times of high inflation.
