Triple Star Chef Denies Claims of Double Relationship, Threats Amid Controversy
Controversy for Triple Star Chef
The celebrity chef, known as Triple Star , aka Kang Seung Won , is currently at the center of controversy following several compromising accusations.
On October 30 KST, news outlet Dispatch revealed allegations against Triple Star that include acts of romantic double-dealing, scheming to get a job at a Michelin-starred restaurant, and threats and verbal abuse.
According to the report, Triple Star met his former girlfriend, identified simply as A , while studying at Le Cordon Bleu in 2014. A allegedly used Chanel bags as gifts for influential connections to secure a position for Triple Star at a Michelin restaurant while he was still a student. Their common-law relationship began in May 2022 but ended three months later, due to recurring conflicts. “Apology letters” revealed by A allegedly contain disturbing details.
Additionally, another woman, named B , accused Triple Star of "ghosting" and cheating on her. A confronted Triple Star after discovering messages between him and B, but he downplayed the relationship as a brief fling to move on.
There have also been allegations of verbal threats. A shared messages where Triple Star threatened her with violence after their divorce, especially after he learned she was in a new relationship.
Triple Star has denied all allegations. Regarding the Chanel gifts, he said: " A may have given gifts to his friends, but I got my position through hard work. " Regarding the double-dealing accusations, he clarified: " My relationship with B was brief. "
Currently, Triple Star runs a fine dining restaurant in Seoul's Gangnam district and recently gained fame for his participation in the Netflix show ' Culinary Class War ', where he finished third. Despite these controversies, he has yet to release an official statement on the matter.
